A shopper types a few words into a search box and expects the right product back. Judging whether what came back actually answers them takes someone who reads the query the way a local shopper would, in their own language and their own market.
About this project
Project Eris is an e-commerce search relevance annotation project, open to experts in French, Spanish and Swedish across eight countries.
You review a search query alongside the product returned for it, then judge how well that product answers what the shopper was looking for. Your judgments teach these systems to tell a close match from a near miss, in markets where the difference is obvious to a local and invisible to everyone else.
What you will do
The work involves:
- Assess the relevance between a given search query and an e-commerce product.
- Review product information, including product titles, images, and live product detail pages.
- Use provided reference links to contextualize and support annotation decisions.
- Apply established annotation guidelines consistently across different products and search queries.
- Identify whether a product appropriately matches the shopper’s search intent.
- Follow project specifications, quality standards, and productivity requirements.
- Complete tasks within the expected Average Handling Time (AHT).
