What Actually Happens At A Session?
In-person studies are guided research sessions held at vetted locations. You may be asked to speak, move, answer questions, or interact with products while a moderator follows the approved study plan.
A typical session runs 60 to 180 minutes. You work through simple, guided tasks alongside a friendly moderator. Every study is fully explained in advance: what you’ll do, what gets recorded, who sees it, and how you’re paid. You sign nothing until you’ve read the full study sheet, and you can stop at any time.

Review The Study Sheet
Each invitation comes with a full briefing: tasks, recording types, duration, location, rate, and consent language. Nothing happens until you say yes.
Visit The Space
Visit the location listed in the study briefing. A moderator welcomes you, reviews consent in person, and asks again before anything is recorded.
Run The Session
Complete the study at your own pace. Breaks are encouraged. You can pause, ask questions, or stop entirely, no questions asked.
Get Paid
Payment goes out fast and fee-free, usually within five business days of your session. No platform fees, no thresholds, no chasing it down.

When Children Are Involved, The Bar Is Higher.
Family studies follow protocols built with child-safety specialists and parent advisors. Every detail is designed so a child can stop, rest, or leave without explanation.
Parent Or Guardian Always Present
Children are never alone with a moderator. A parent or guardian stays in the room, or in a viewable observation area, for the entire session.
Dual Consent, No Pressure
Parent signs informed consent. Child gives age-appropriate verbal assent at the start and any point during the session. Either can withdraw, instantly.
Vetted, Trained Moderators
Every family-study moderator passes a background check and completes child-safety training before working with minors, then recertifies regularly.

How much do studies pay?
Compensation varies by study type and time commitment. Most sessions pay between $75 and $400. The exact rate is shown before you accept. There’s never a “we’ll figure it out later” rate.
How long does a typical study last?
Most in-person sessions run 60 to 180 minutes. Multi-day studies are clearly marked at sign-up, with the full schedule shown in advance.
Where are the studies held?
Study availability changes by location and schedule. Each study page lists its city and eligibility requirements. The exact address and access details are shared before you confirm participation.
Who can participate?
Most studies require participants to be 18 or older. Studies that include children have their own eligibility, dual consent, and supervision rules.
What kind of data do you collect?
Only what each study explicitly needs: voice recordings, video, sensor readings, or your task responses. Every category is disclosed in writing before you consent.
Can I withdraw mid-study?
Yes, at any point, for any reason. It doesn’t affect your future eligibility, and each study sheet tells you upfront how partial time is compensated.
Is my data sold?
No. Data collected through OneForma Labs is used only for the research purpose disclosed at consent. No resale. No third-party advertising.
How does payment work?

Can my child participate?
Select family studies welcome children aged 5-17 with a parent or guardian present. All sessions follow strict child-safety protocols and require dual consent.
Do I need prior experience?
No, none at all. These studies exist to capture how real people naturally behave, so being yourself is the whole qualification. We walk you through everything when you arrive.
Is this a clinical trial?
No. OneForma Labs studies look at how everyday products work for real people. They are not medical trials and do not involve experimental drugs, devices, or procedures.
