Who This Is For

  • Have an active MyChart account with an existing health history
  • Able to export a MyChart health record as an XML file
  • Have a smartphone and computer and can review automated PHI redactions before submission

About This Project

This initiative centers on developing a robust longitudinal health data ecosystem that consolidates years of participant medical information from clinical healthcare systems across the United States. The project captures a wide range of healthcare documentation including laboratory results, vital signs, pathology reports, imaging summaries, and clinical notes — all sourced directly from participants’ personal MyChart patient portal accounts.

The project involves participant-driven data acquisition. You will be required to export their personal health records directly from their MyChart account as an XML file and securely upload these files into our data collection platform. MyChart is the official patient portal used by hospitals and clinics across the United States, and the export process takes approximately 15–20 minutes on a smartphone and computer. Before submission, you must review and confirm the accuracy of automated PHI redaction to ensure that all sensitive identifiers have been properly removed.

Why This Work Matters

The resulting dataset supports advanced analytics, population health research, predictive modeling, and the development of data-driven tools that enhance clinical decision-making and long-term health insights. The goal is to create an off-the-shelf (OTS) product that can be deployed broadly across health research and clinical innovation environments and offered to different clients.
