If you’ve been assigned as a reviewer for a project, your job is to check work submitted by other contributors. This includes reviewing labels, correcting small issues, and rejecting work that doesn’t meet project standards.
This guide walks you through how to review, edit, and submit tasks with confidence.
What does a reviewer do?
Reviewers are responsible for:
- Verifying the accuracy of completed tasks
- Making minor corrections when possible
- Rejecting tasks that don’t meet requirements or are beyond fixing
Note: You won’t be re-annotating tasks from scratch—only checking and correcting as needed.
What will you need before you begin?
- Reviewer permissions for a specific project
- A connected payment method
- Access to the Centific AI Data Foundry (using your OneForma login credentials)
Step-by-step guide
- Log in to OneForma
Go to https://www.oneforma.com and sign in.
- Go to the “My Jobs” dashboard and click “Active”
In the “Active” tab, you can see your assigned jobs. If you’ve been newly assigned, you’ll also receive a notification. Click that notification to jump directly to the relevant job in your job list.
- Click “Start working”
If the task isn’t ready yet, the status will say “Waiting for assignment.” Don’t worry, you’ve still been approved to join the team. Just be patient and wait for assignments to come in.
- Reminder: You’ll need a payment method set up on your OneForma account before proceeding.
- Complete the CAPTCHA
You’ll be prompted to verify yourself before moving forward. This helps ensure real people, rather than robots, are working for our clients.
- You’ll be redirected to the Centific AI Data Foundry
This is where most of your work takes place. Log in through single sign-on (SSO), using your OneForma credentials.
- Select the project
Click into the project listed for review. You’ll be able to see how many tasks are waiting under “Review all tasks.”
- Review the tasks
Each task will display somebody else’s submitted work. Review each one and take one of the following actions:
- Accept: Select this option if everything looks correct and no changes are needed.
- Fix and accept: Select this option if the submission is mostly correct. You can select a better option, adjust a bounding box or region, or make small corrections before accepting.
- Reject: Select this option if the submission is completely wrong or can’t be corrected quickly. Deleting the annotation will place the task back in the “Label stream” for rework. Rejected tasks do not automatically go back to the original annotator but instead go back into the pool of available tasks pending assignment to annotators.
What happens after you submit reviews?
Once all your assigned tasks are reviewed:
- A completion notification will appear
- The system logs your review activity for payment and performance tracking
- The project manager compiles data on the 20th of each month to process payouts
Tips to succeed as a reviewer
- Follow the review guidelines for your specific project, keeping in mind that every job is different.
- Fix what you can, reject what you can’t. Don’t spend too much time trying to fix major errors. Simply fix the small things and reject the big issues to send them back to the annotators.
- Be consistent. Consistency is especially important if you’re reviewing multiple task types for larger projects.
