How to complete certifications 

Some projects on OneForma require you to pass a short certification exam before you can start working. Don’t worry—this isn’t a test. Instead, it’s an opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills to many interested project managers. 

This guide will show you exactly how it works, what to expect, and how to set yourself up for success. 

Why do certifications matter? 

Certifications help ensure you’re ready for the job. Passing one proves you understand the project’s guidelines and requirements, so you can get started more quickly. 

• Tip: You don’t need a special degree to pass a certification. Just follow the instructions carefully and take your time. 

What will you need before you begin? 

• A stable Internet connection 

• A quiet space to focus 

• Any required training material (provided within the portal) 

• The time to finish your test in one sitting 

Step-by-step guide 

1. Log in to OneForma and go to your Dashboard. 
   Visit https://www.oneforma.com and sign in. If you haven’t already created your account, follow the account creation guide. 

2. Open the job application that requires certification 
   When a job requires specific certifications, you’ll see a “Certification” section in the job post. Click “Start Certification.” 

3. Review any available training material or courses 
   Some certifications include an optional course to help you prepare. These are usually short, self-paced training modules. Completing them is often optional, but highly recommended—especially for new users. 

4. Click “Proceed” to take the practice test (if available) 
   When available, practice tests help you better prepare to complete the certification. You’ll get instant feedback on your answers and can retake the practice test if you make mistakes. 

5. Take the certification exam 
   Click “Start Exam.” Some tests may have time limits or a limit on attempts. Follow the instructions carefully and read each question closely to improve your likelihood of achieving certification. 

6. Submit your answers 
   Once you’ve finished, your results will automatically sync to your application. You don’t need to email anybody or upload anything manually. OneForma’s automations will handle everything. 

What happens after you pass the certification? 

If you pass: 

• Your application will automatically move into the Recruiter Review stage. 

• You’ll be notified if the recruiter approves you to begin work. 

If you don’t pass: 

• Some projects might allow multiple attempts. 

• Others might offer a chance to retake the certification later or after you complete additional training. 

Tips for success 

1. Don’t rush. Most certifications are short, often taking less than 30 minutes to complete. Take your time and read each question carefully. 

2. Use the practice test. It’s a great way to familiarize yourself with the style and format of the questions you’ll be asked on the certification. 

3. Take notes during training. Some questions come straight from the course material. All exams are “open book,” meaning you can refer to your notes while taking the exam.
