Motion
Description:
During your session, you will be guided by one of our moderators through a series of simple activities using smart glasses.
Here is what the session may include:
- Trying on different glasses and pick which fit best
- A 3D facial scan to assess how the glasses fit
- Various usability tasks to evaluate comfort and functionality
- Be able to identify the numbers that flashes in different spots of the screen
- Simple slow and control head & hand movements
- Jog or speed walk for 5 minutes while wearing a heart rate monitor. Not permitted for individuals with pacemakers.
The session lasts approximately 3 hours.
Purpose:
This project aims to test cutting-edge smart glasses. Participants’ insights will directly shape the design and functionality of future versions—helping us develop inclusive technology.
Main Requirements:
- Must be 18 – 65 years old to participate.
- Must be able to read from a distance without prescription glasses, for example, 1-inch characters from 1 meter away and 2-inch characters from 16.4 feet away (Contact lenses are allowed).
- Must be able to walk / lightly jog on a treadmill
- Cannot have any headwear, fancy updos, earrings, or facial piercings, unless they can be removed for the scanning process.
- Must be able to understand the moderator’s instructions in English without a translator app.
- Cellphones/smart watches must be put away or placed in our secured lockers
- Must be able to visit our Redmond office on weekdays between 8am – 5pm.
- Must show a valid government ID.
- Must not be residents of Illinois or Texas.
Compensation:
Participants who successfully complete the study will receive $250.
