Description:

Yunnan is a Data Collection project in which participants will submit handwritten images in different languages. The content will vary according to different categories, but it must have been written by a native speaker.

 

Purpose:

This project aims to help improve AI behind OCR engines to detect characters for better experience.

 

Main requirements:

  • Must have a smartphone with a camera capable of taking photos in (.jpg).
  • All content submitted must be original. Picturess taken from the internet or from other people will be rejected.
  • The pics must not include any PII (Personal Identifiable Information).
  • Diversity is encouraged! We will provide several different categories for you to choose from.
  • Must be a native speaker of one of the following languages:
    • Tamil
    • Greek
    • Hebrew
    • Hindi
    • Thai

Other important information:

  • Please note only native speakers of the languages specified above can qualify for this project. Please, do not apply if you are not a native.
  • Our team will provide guidelines and instructions to ensure a successful completion of the project.
